Lutron's RadioRA2

on Monday, 09 July 2012. Posted in Knoxville Home Lighting Control

RadioRA 2 offers control of lights, shades and temperature from wall or tabletop keypads, as well on your mobile device.

The main benefit of a keypad is that you can create customized “scenes”- predetermined setting for lights, shades, and temperature.

When you press a keypad button, lights, shades, and temperature automatically adjust to the levels you designated for that scene. The number of buttons on a keypad is based on the number of different scenes you want to create in a room. Control from a keypad also means you’re always in touch with your system- from your car, your bedside, or your vacation home. This translates to savings because you can manage energy even when you are away from home.

The RadioRA2 integrates with your home’s existing technology. For example, integration with your A/V system means one button press will soften lights, lower shades, and the projector, and start the movie.

Integration also gives you a convenient way to save energy. The “Green” keypad button automatically dims the lights by 5%, lowers shades, and sets back temperature by 2%.

The RadioRA2 works with up to 200 devices, so you never have to worry about limiting the control you have over your house.

Call 865.690.0154 to book your free energy assessment today, and see how Lutron’s RadioRA2 can save you time and money.

ESX Recap

on Friday, 29 June 2012. Posted in Knoxville Home Automation

A picture says a thousand words, and this one evokes the fun we had at the Electronic Security Expo in Nashville this week.  In between hanging out with R2D2, we explored the latest security technology demonstrated by the nearly 200 vendors in attendance.

Let’s just say there are some awesome upgrades to the technology you already love. Think swipe-motion control on panels; instant energy data with pie graphs to boot; geo fencing; cameras so smart they could track down Columbo. We discussed, learned, and networked for days, all to bring the best of the best back to you.

Here’s our show favorite that you can look forward to soon:

2Gig’s Go! 2.0 next generation control panel was chosen as Best Overall Product by a distinguished panel of judges drawn from the leadership and ranks of ESX's owner/sponsor associations, the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) and the Electronic Security Association (ESA). In addition, the Go! 2.0 was named Best Alarm Equipment in the Wireless Alarm System category.

We can’t wait to bring it to you. Check back soon for more information.

Lean, Mean, RTI Machines

2012 Electronic House Product of the Year in Remote Home Monitoring.
2011 CEDIA Manufacturer's Excellence Award for Best New Product.
Custom Retailer's Exc!te Award
What do the above accolades have in common?

iSS has proudly offered RTI for thirteen years. However it takes dilligence to keep up with RTI's award winning technology. That is why the iSS team travelled to Nashville yesterday for advanced control training. iSS VP, Jeremiah Morales says, "Completing this training keeps us on our A game. Whether it is installation or troubleshooting, it is a company’s responsibility to have the know-how and answers."

In a sea of home enhancement products, RTI has been recognized as a leader. “I’m a fan of the RTi Panel because of its flexibility, ease, and industry recognition,” says Joe Campbell, iSS Lead Installer.

The crew got a glimpse at potential upgrades to RTI’s already outstanding line of products. Unfortunately, they have to stay tight-lipped, but the consensus is there is a lot of “neat stuff” in the works. Stay tuned.
